WIBN to Host World’s Largest Wrestling Online Career Fair October 2

Virtual event connects college wrestlers with top employers and mentors

Manheim, PA  — The Wrestlers In Business Network (WIBN), an operating division of the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), announced today that it will host the World's Largest Wrestling Online Career Fair on Thursday, October 2, from 5–9 PM ET. This free virtual event is designed exclusively for current college wrestlers and recent graduates, connecting them with internships, career opportunities, and mentorship across a wide range of professions.

Opportunities for Wrestlers

Unlike traditional career fairs that focus only on seniors, the WIBN Career Fair encourages underclassmen to begin building career pipelines early. Many companies, including global leaders such as Deloitte, require students to engage with recruiters as early as their sophomore year. In fact, several participating employers have reserved positions specifically to recruit wrestlers, underscoring their commitment to supporting the wrestling community.

The fair features companies led or owned by former wrestlers, as well as organizations where wrestlers hold leadership roles. This unique connection ensures that recruiters not only understand the demands of the sport but actively seek out the discipline, resilience, and work ethic wrestlers bring to the workplace.

Program Benefits

  • Internships & Careers: Athletes can secure summer internships and entry-level positions by leveraging wrestling's extensive network.

  • Program Partnerships: Career connections strengthen ties between wrestling programs and corporate partners, creating long-term supporters and future fans.

  • Mentorship: For wrestlers pursuing specialized fields such as medicine, veterinary science, aviation, or military service, the WIBN provides direct mentorship opportunities with former wrestlers excelling in those professions.

How It Works

The WIBN Virtual Career Fair is built with flexibility in mind. Wrestlers are not required to attend the entire four-hour session. Instead, they can browse participating companies, schedule one-on-one interviews, and connect with mentors according to their interests and availability.

How Coaches Can Support

Coaches are encouraged to:

  • Urge athletes to register early to maximize interview and hiring opportunities.

  • Partner with campus Career Centers to help wrestlers refine resumes before the event.

  • Collaborate with administrators to allow participation to count toward study table hours, reinforcing career readiness alongside athletic and academic commitments.
