NCAA women’s wrestling award standings debut for the 2026 season

INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA has released the standings for the 2026 NCAA Women's Wrestling Awards. These will be awarded in March during the very first Women's Wrestling Championship.

The three awards will honor the Most Dominant Wrestler as well as the student-athletes that have accumulated the most falls and the most technical falls throughout the course of the regular and postseasons. Ties in the two categories are broken based on the aggregate time.

Leading in number of falls is Mount Union's Lori Grimes at 180-pounds collecting 17 in 27:47. In close pursuit, Ella Gahl of Manchester and Maura White of York complete the top three with 16 and 15, respectively.

Mount Union also leads tech falls with 131-pounder Abigal Mozden at 14. Close behind, trailing by one is Presbyterian's Kassey Daugherty. Paola Villarruel of Manchester at 117-pounds has 11 tech falls in 16:52.

The initial Most Dominant Wrestler standings will be released later this season to allow wrestlers to achieve the minimum number of matches required to be eligible for the standings.
