NWCA National Duals Shape Latest NAIA Men’s Wrestling Rating as Grand View Holds No. 1

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Grand View (Iowa) continues to set the standard atop the fifth NAIA men's wrestling rating, narrowly holding off Life (Ga.) as the two programs remain separated by just two points following the weekend of competition at the NWCA National Duals. The Vikings capped the event with a 37–7 victory over the Running Eagles in the championship match, earning the program another NWCA National Duals title and the first for head coach Grant Henderson in his debut season at the helm.

While the top four teams held their positions, movement throughout the middle of the poll reflected key results from the past week, led by Oklahoma City and Cumberlands (Ky.). Oklahoma City climbed into the top five at No. 5 after another strong showing, while Cumberlands posted the largest jump of the week, rising four spots to No. 9.

The individual rankings produced just two new top-ranked wrestlers, with Andrew Voiles of Southeastern (Fla.) moving to No. 1 at 141 and John Wiley of Oklahoma City taking over the top spot at 157. Wiley earned wrestler of the week honors after his 5-0 outing at the NWCA National Duals last weekend, with four of his wins coming over ranked opponents. The 165-pounder posted three wins by fall, including victories over No. 4 Antwaun Burns (2:36) and No. 20 Brayden Forman (2:16). He recorded a win by major decision over No. 13 Avant Stepherson (12-0), and battled to a win by decision against No. 10 Malachia Harris (5-3).
