Manheim, PA - Congratulations to Coach David Ochoa of Northview High School, the 2026 NWCA/Marines Battles Won National High School Girls Head Coach of the Year.

For five decades, Coach Ochoa has led with dedication, service, and an unwavering commitment to creating opportunity for girls in wrestling. His impact reaches far beyond the mat through the athletes he mentors, the programs he has helped build, and the future he continues to shape.

This official portrait, created by Joey Krebs of WRESTLING SAVES LIVES, honors more than a national coaching award. Joey's photography documents the people, purpose, and moments that define our sport, preserving wrestling's living history while celebrating the coaches whose influence reaches far beyond the wrestling room.

Krebs was assisted on the portrait project by photography students Bob Wang and Rose Ku.

His work with the NWCA is part of an ongoing visual record of coaching excellence. In 2024, Joey created the portrait honoring NWCA High School Boys Coach of the Year John Meyers. Now, his lens commemorates Coach Ochoa's historic recognition and his decades of leadership in girls wrestling.

"Joey Krebs' artistic vision beautifully captures the essence of what wrestling means to so many. We are grateful for the care he takes in documenting our sport and honoring exceptional leaders such as Coach David Ochoa."
Mike Moyer, NWCA Executive Director

WRESTLING SAVES LIVES reflects the belief that wrestling builds resilience, belonging, discipline, and opportunity. Joey's portraits put a face to that mission, honoring the mentors who make those life-changing experiences possible.
