Manheim, PA - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has announced the recipients of the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Regional Coach of the Year awards, presented by Defense Soap.
Each honoree was recognized at the coaches meeting prior to their respective NCAA Division III Regional Championships and now advances as a finalist for the National Coach of the Year award. The national recipient will be announced prior to next week's NCAA Division III National Championships in Cedar Rapids, IA.
2026 NCAA Division III Men's Regional Coaches of the Year
Region 1 – Jason Holder, Springfield
Region 2 – Marty Nichols, Ithaca
Region 3 – Joe Galante, The College of New Jersey
Region 4 – Nate Yetzer, Roanoke
Region 5 – David Shapiro, Case Western Reserve
Region 6 – Eric Keller, Wartburg
Region 7 – Mike DeRoehn, Lakeland
"These coaches represent the very best of Division III wrestling," said NWCA Executive Director
Mike Moyer. "Their commitment to developing their student-athletes on and off the mat is evident in the success of their programs. We congratulate each of them and thank them for their tireless efforts leading their teams throughout the season."
