Harrison High School (OH) Staff Named 2026 NWCA/MARINES “Battles Won” National High School Girls Assistant Coaching Staff of the Year

MANHEIM, PA - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), in partnership with the United States Marine Corps, is proud to announce that the assistant coaching staff at Harrison High School in Harrison, Ohio - Rob Dearwester, Thomas Couch, Chad Dennis, Eric Meyer, Cameron Baird, Molly Hudler, and Emilie Cameron - has been named the 2026 NWCA/MARINES "Battles Won" National High School Girls Assistant Coaching Staff of the Year.

The Wildcats finished the 2025–26 season 14–4 in duals and claimed OHSWCA Regional Duals, Heart of Ohio Invitational, and Shelly Ruberg Classic championships. Harrison earned OHSAA Sectional and District titles before placing second at the OHSAA State Tournament and third at the OHSWCA State Duals. Additional season highlights include a second-place finish at the Citrus Duals, an 18th-place finish at the Women of Ironman, and a third-place finish at the Findlay Invitational Girls HS Tournament.

"The Harrison High School assistant staff is a model for how grassroots commitment becomes championship-caliber coaching," said Mike Moyer, Executive Director of the NWCA. "Delivering Ohio's first sanctioned girls state championship team, this group has planted seeds that will benefit girls wrestling for decades. Our heartfelt thanks to the United States Marine Corps for their continued partnership in elevating the coaches who make this sport what it is."

  • Section 5 - Garden City High School (Kansas): Anthony Calderon, Kevin Perez, Joe Bach, Tylee Biera, Eli Copeland, Anjelina Serrano, Jacob Waller
  • Section 6 - V. Sue Cleveland High School (New Mexico): Clayton Pankey, Christopher Quintana, Kayla Gomez, John Booker, Dylan Greenhaus, Michael Feltman, Angel Castillo Jr.

The national winners for the remaining award categories will be announced this week:
  • June 16 - Girls National Head Coach of the Year
  • June 17 - Boys National Assistant Coaching Staff of the Year
  • June 18 - Boys National Head Coach if the Year
