MANHEIM, PA - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), in partnership with the United States Marine Corps, is proud to announce that the assistant coaching staff at Harrison High School in Harrison, Ohio - Rob Dearwester, Thomas Couch, Chad Dennis, Eric Meyer, Cameron Baird, Molly Hudler, and Emilie Cameron - has been named the 2026 NWCA/MARINES "Battles Won" National High School Girls Assistant Coaching Staff of the Year.
The Wildcats finished the 2025–26 season 14–4 in duals and claimed OHSWCA Regional Duals, Heart of Ohio Invitational, and Shelly Ruberg Classic championships. Harrison earned OHSAA Sectional and District titles before placing second at the OHSAA State Tournament and third at the OHSWCA State Duals. Additional season highlights include a second-place finish at the Citrus Duals, an 18th-place finish at the Women of Ironman, and a third-place finish at the Findlay Invitational Girls HS Tournament.
"The Harrison High School assistant staff is a model for how grassroots commitment becomes championship-caliber coaching," said Mike Moyer, Executive Director of the NWCA. "Delivering Ohio's first sanctioned girls state championship team, this group has planted seeds that will benefit girls wrestling for decades.
