Manheim, PA - The Wrestlers in Business Network, an operating division of the National Wrestling Coaches Association, invites employers and wrestling professionals to participate in the WIBN Virtual Career Fair on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
Registration is now open. The first 25 employers to register will receive complimentary admission to the next virtual career fair at no additional cost. More than half of those 25 spots have already been claimed since registration opened yesterday.
Last year's virtual career fair attracted over 1,200 registrants. Follow-up surveys showed that the vast majority of participating employers had two to three prospects formally apply and advance to the interview stage as a direct result of the event. The fair produced qualified candidates who moved forward in the hiring process, not just visibility or resume collection.
This year, WIBN aims to exceed last year's registration total and deliver its best virtual career fair to date. The organization will actively recruit and prepare current college wrestlers, recent graduates, former wrestlers, and experienced professionals whose skills align with the industries, positions, locations, and hiring needs of participating employers. The goal is to place the right prospects in front of recruiters rather than rely on random booth traffic.
Wrestlers bring qualities that are difficult to teach: discipline, resilience, coachability, accountability, competitive drive, mental toughness, and the ability to perform under pressure and continue working when conditions become difficult. These characteristics translate into exceptional employees, leaders, sales professionals, skilled tradespeople, operators, entrepreneurs, and teammates.
Participating employers also support something larger than a single hiring need. By creating professional opportunities for wrestlers, companies strengthen the network surrounding the sport, provide athletes with a pathway beyond competition, demonstrate the lifelong value of wrestling, and help build a stronger future for the entire wrestling community. Hiring wrestlers helps wrestling.
