WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein University Athletic Department is excited to announce the hiring of Olivia Shore as its next Associate Head Coach of Women's Wrestling. Shore becomes the second head coach in program history as the Cardinals enter their third year as a varsity program this upcoming season.

Shore recently completed an incredibly decorated collegiate career as a two-time NCWWC National Champion. In 2025, she won the 103-pound title as a Cardinal, becoming the first-ever National Champion in Otterbein's first season as a program. Shore capped her career with a 24-1 record at Otterbein with 16 falls. 

"I am extremely honored to step into this leadership role and give back to the program that has given me everything," said Shore. "There's something so special about continuing to represent this program, just now from the other side. I am beyond excited and grateful to be a part of this family. Once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal."

Shore has been actively involved in the wrestling community, running the Shore Wrestling Club, an all-female training program. Wrestling at Miami East High School, she had an incredibly decorated and historic career, making a direct impact on women's wrestling. She is the only female in history to place at the OHSAA Boys State Tournament – something that will never happen again since the OHSAA's adoption of Girls Wrestling as a sanctioned sport for the 2022-23 school year. 

"If you are talking about women's wrestling in the state of Ohio, then Olivia Shore has to be a part of the conversation," said Director of Wrestling, Brent Rastetter. "She is the only female in history to place at the OHSAA Boys State Tournament, and is also a two-time collegiate National Champion. She is going to bring that same passion and work ethic from the competition side of the mat to the coaching side. She loves Otterbein University and Otterbein women's wrestling, and I am excited for the future of the program!"

"Olivia is the perfect person to shepherd the continued growth of our wrestling program," added Director of Athletics, Dr. Greg Lott. "In Olivia, I have observed consistent professionalism and an absolute passion to give back to and grow the sport of girls' and women's wrestling. Her technical expertise is off the charts and we are so fortunate to have Brent Rastetter in place as the Director of Wrestling to continue to mentor Coach Shore. This is an exciting moment for Otterbein!'

Shore and the Otterbein women's wrestling program will commence their third season as a program in early November.
