NWCA Statement Regarding Limestone University Women's Wrestling

Manheim, PA - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) is aware of the recent decision by Limestone University to drop its women's wrestling program. The NWCA is deeply concerned about the impact of this decision on the student-athletes, coaches, and the sport of women's wrestling as a whole.

As an organization committed to promoting and developing wrestling at all levels, the NWCA is working to connect with members of the Limestone University administration to understand the reasons behind the decision and explore possible solutions to reverse it. We believe that women's wrestling is an important part of the wrestling community, and we are committed to supporting it in any way we can.

We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the strong leadership of the program's head coach, Brandy Green. Coach Green has been an instrumental figure in the growth and success of both the Limestone women's wrestling program and NCAA women's as a whole. We are grateful for her tireless dedication and hard work.

The NWCA will continue to monitor the situation at Limestone University and will provide updates as they become available. We remain committed to advocating for the growth and success of women's wrestling, and we stand with the student-athletes, coaches, and supporters of the sport in this challenging time.
