Grays Harbor College Women's Wrestling Joins the NJCAA

Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA has announced the onboarding of 13 new member colleges to join the association beginning this academic year, including Arkansas State University Three Rivers, Reid State Technical College, Gillette College, Pacific Northwest Christian College, Mayland Community College, Montcalm Community College, Pellissippi State Community College, Southeast Arkansas College, Southside Virginia Community College, Texas Southmost College, Western Iowa Tech Community College, Grays Harbor College, and Arkansas State University Newport.

The NJCAA welcomes Arkansas State University Three Rivers, Southeast Arkansas College, and Arkansas State University-Newport to Region 2. Arkansas State University Three Rivers will offer men's and women's golf, baseball, and soccer. All sports will be under Division II. Southeast Arkansas College will compete in baseball and softball and will be playing at the Division II level. Arkansas State University-Newport will now offer Division II men's basketball and softball.

Out of Region 22, Reid State Technical College will compete at the Division II level in men's basketball, men's and women's golf, and men's and women's cross country.

Gillette College has returned to the college athletics realm and will compete in NJCAA Region 9. Sport offerings include men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, and men's and women's basketball. Each sport will be participating in Division I.

Pacific Northwest Christian College will be competing in NJCAA Region 18 at the Division I level. Pacific Northwest will be competing in men's and women's cross country and men's and women's soccer. The NJCAA will also welcome Grays Harbor College to this region as they will be competing in women's wrestling.

Mayland Community College will compete in NJCAA Region 10 at the Division II level. The Highlanders will be adding men's and women's cross country as well as men's and women's golf. Also joining the region is Southside Virginia Community College who will be competing in men's basketball and softball at the Division III level.

With 12 sports offerings including baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's bowling, men's and women's cross country, men's golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, and women's volleyball, Montcalm Community College will compete as a Division II school in NJCAA Region 12.

Pellissippi State Community College will compete in NJCAA Region 7. They will be offering men's and women's cross country and half marathon, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, and men's golf. Women's soccer will be participating at the Division I level while men's and women's cross country and half marathon, men's soccer, women's volleyball, and men's golf will be participating at the Division II level.

After moving to NAIA in 2006, Texas Southmost College returned to a two-year institution in 2013. Now joining the NJCAA, Texas Southmost will be competing in NJCAA Region 14 with men's and women's soccer at the Division I level.

Western Iowa Tech Community College will compete in NJCAA Region 11 under Division II. Sports will include men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's basketball, and competitive cheer.

12 new members are ineligible for the 2023-24 postseason but will be eligible for the 2024-25 academic year. Gillette College is eligible to play for the 2023-24 postseason.
