St. Cloud State holds atop NWCA DII Men's Coaches Rankings heading into 2025

MANHEIM, Pa.- St. Cloud State will ring in 2025 as the top ranked team in NCAA Division II men's wrestling, as the Huskies held the top spot in the second regular-season National Wrestling Coaches Association Division II Men's Coaches Poll, released Monday afternoon.

Head Coach Steve Constanzo's Huskies amassed 103.5 total team points, and are the only team in the poll to have all 10 wrestlers individually ranked, highlighted by newly-minted #1 at 149, Colby Njos. Glenville State, which has nine ranked wrestlers, sits in the two-spot in the team rankings with 77.0 points, with UW-Parkside (75.5 points), Central Oklahoma (67.0 points), and Nebraska-Kearney (65.0 points) rounding out the top five. 

There are four new individual number ones in this edition of the poll. Joining Njos are Zach Ourada of Nebraska-Kearney (125), Cayden Henschel of UW-Parkside (141), and Hayden Pummel of Glenville State (174). Both Glenville State and Nebraska-Kearney feature a pair of number ones in their lineup, with Gavin Quiocho (133) joining Pummel for the Pioneers, while Crew Howard (285) is the Loper teammate of Ourada. 

Super Region Five again has the most ranked individuals, with 37, but Super Region Three is a close second with 36 ranked wrestlers, including a region-best three #1s. Super Region Three also has the most ranked teams with seven, while Super Regions Four and Five both have five ranked teams. The 34 ranked wrestlers from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) are by far the most, while the NSIC and Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) both feature four ranked teams. 

The next edition of the poll will come out following the 2025 NWCA National Duals, with a release date of Jan. 20, 2025.
