INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA has released updated standings for the 2026 NCAA Men's Wrestling Awards that will be awarded in March at the respective Division I, II and III Wrestling Championships.
The inaugural NCAA Men's Wrestling Awards were presented at the 2012 wrestling championships. The three awards, given in each division, honor the Most Dominant Wrestler as well as the student-athletes that have accumulated the most falls and the most technical falls throughout the course of the regular and postseasons.
For falls and tech falls to be counted for the awards they must come against opponents in the same division (i.e. Division III vs. Division III). Ties in the two categories are broken based on the aggregate time.
Columbia's 285-pounder Vincent Mueller currently paces Division I with 10 falls in 15:54 on the season. Malachi DuVall of George Mason at 184-pounds and heavyweight James Campbell of Michigan State round out the top three in with nine and eight, respectively.
In Division II, Glenville State's Ethan Mitchell leads the way with 10 falls at 141-pounds. Pitt-Johnstown's heavyweight Isaiah Vance and Lander's 149-pounder George Maholtz each have nine.
Leading out of Division III, at 184-pounds Sean Malenfant of Alfred State has earned 21 falls in 57:27. At the same weight, Braeden Fluke of Elizabethtown is at 17, accompanied by Luther's 165-pounder Clayton McDonough with the same number of falls.
In Division I tech falls, Franklin and Marshall's 184-pounder James Conaway leads the way with 10 in 58:32. Ohio State's Ben Davino at 133-pounds trails by one at nine.
David Hunsberger of Lander is out front in Division II with 10 tech falls on the season. Ethan Farnell of Indianapolis is close behind with eight.
Division III highlights include 165-pounder Keegan Demarest of Messiah with 21 tech falls. Avery Leonard of Oneonta State and Christian Guzman of North Central are next in line tied at 15 each.
The initial Most Dominant Wrestler standings will be released later this season to allow wrestlers to achieve the minimum number of matches required to be eligible for the standings.
