Roanoke Jumps to No. 1 in Dual Poll After National Duals Run; Wartburg Still Leads Tournament Poll

Manheim, PA  -  The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has released its latest set of NCAA D3 Men's Coaches Polls following an unforgettable 2026 NWCA/USMC Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships, where Roanoke College delivered one of the most impressive championship runs in event history.

Entering the tournament as the No. 6 seed, Roanoke knocked off each of the top three seeds to capture the program's first-ever National Duals title. The championship performance propelled the Maroons to the top spot in the latest Dual Team Poll.

In the updated NWCA Dual Team Top 5, Roanoke sits at No. 1 with a 12-0 record after previously being ranked sixth. Wartburg slides to No. 2 at 9-1 after previously holding the top spot, followed by Augsburg at No. 3 with a 7-2 mark. TCNJ checks in at No. 4 with a 7-2 record, while Loras rounds out the Top 5 with an 11-2 record.

Despite the upset loss in the dual championship, Wartburg remains firmly in control of the Tournament Team Poll, while Roanoke jumps to No. 2 with 51.5 points, followed closely by Augsburg at No. 3 with 50.5 points. UW–La Crosse holds steady at No. 4 with 42.5 points, while TCNJ finishes out the Top 5 at No. 5 with 40 points.
