Manheim, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has announced that Nate Yetzer of Roanoke College has been named the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's National Coach of the Year, presented by Defense Soap.
Coach Yetzer has quickly built Roanoke College into a rising Division III program since being hired as the Maroons' first head wrestling coach in March 2020. Since the program began competition in 2021, Roanoke has produced three All-Americans.
During the 2025–26 season, the Maroons won the Region IV Championship, qualifying nine wrestlers for the NCAA Championships, including five regional champions. They finished the season with a perfect 15–0 record in duals, claiming their first NWCA National Duals title.
"Coach Yetzer has done an outstanding job building Roanoke's program from the ground up," said NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer. "In a short period of time, he has established a culture of excellence and positioned the Maroons among the nation's top Division III programs."
