Manheim, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has released the 2026 High School All-America Awards, recognizing outstanding student-athletes for their achievements both in the classroom and in character development.
NWCA member coaches are eligible to submit nominations for two distinct honors: the Scholar All-America Award and the Character & Leadership All-America Award.
Since the inception of the program in 2019, the NWCA has honored more than 20,000 high school wrestlers nationwide, including 16,504 Scholar All-Americans and 5,612 Character & Leadership All-Americans.
During the 2025-26 season, a total of 3,834 student-athletes were recognized as Scholar All-Americans, while 853 individuals earned distinction as Character & Leadership honorees.
"This recognition represents what our sport is truly about, developing young men and women who excel not only on the mat, but in the classroom and in their communities," said NWCA Executive
Mike Moyer. "We are proud of every student-athlete honored and grateful to the coaches who continue to prioritize academics and character development within their programs."
The NWCA High School All-America Awards program continues to highlight the importance of academic excellence, integrity, and leadership within the sport of wrestling.
