Kenneth Gawronski has been named the full-time Head Coach of the men's wrestling program after serving in the interim role this past season. He will also continue to support the women's wrestling program as an assistant coach.
"I'm excited to officially step into this role and continue building the culture we established this past season—one rooted in accountability, disciplined wrestling, and helping our student-athletes reach their full potential," said Gawronski.
Taking over the program with the season already underway presented its share of challenges, but the team made meaningful progress throughout the year.
"I'm proud of the way our guys responded amidst the uncertainty," Gawronski added. "They showed resilience, commitment, and a willingness to grow."
With a full offseason ahead, Gawronski is focused on building upon that foundation and continuing to elevate the program.
"I look forward to pushing our wrestlers to reach their full potential—not just on the mat, but as people, students, and leaders—while building a championship-caliber program."
Under Gawronski's leadership, the Blue Jays capped a strong postseason run with a fifth-place finish at the 2026 SLIAC Wrestling Championships in Eureka, Illinois, highlighted by senior
Michael Roberts capturing the 165-pound conference title—his second career championship.
Isaac Gawronski (133) and
Levi Casey (174) also reached the podium by placing third. Additional place winners included
Henry Warfel (141),
Adam Peregoy (157), and Darvin Fowler (285).
The Blue Jays concluded their season at the NCAA Division III Region VI Championships in Dubuque, Iowa, hosted by Loras College.

Isaac Gawronskiadded a team point with a win in the consolation rounds.
Drake Schmidt,

Thomas Tempest also gained valuable postseason experience as the Blue Jays closed out the season against a deep regional field.
"We are pleased that
Kenneth Gawronski has chosen to remain with us as our permanent Head Coach for Men's Wrestling while also serving as Assistant Coach for Women's Wrestling," said
Dr. Jessica Brown, Director of Athletics. "Ken has demonstrated strong leadership and a clear commitment to the development of our student-athletes. We are confident in his ability to build on the progress made this past season as we continue to elevate our wrestling programs and pursue a championship culture."
