Albion College Names names Tom Hall as Head Men's Coach

The Albion College wrestling program has added Tom Hall to its staff, who will serve as the Head Men's Wrestling Coach. Adam Wilson has been promoted to the Director of Wrestling, while also serving as the Head Women's Wrestling Coach.

"We are very excited to add Tom to our wrestling staff. He brings extensive knowledge and experience to our program that our student-athletes will benefit from," said Jennifer Rushton, Director of Athletics. "The promotion of Adam to Director of Wrestling/Head Women's Coach is very much deserved. We feel that reorganizing our staff in this manner is a win-win for our student-athletes."

Hall comes to Albion after serving as the head coach at Trine University since the 2018-19 season. He has mentored a number of regional placers while with the Thunder, bringing his knowledge of the MIAA to the Brits. Additionally, Hall's wrestlers have gotten it done in the classroom, seeing two individuals named Scholar All-Americans in his first year as head coach at Trine.

"I would like to thank Athletic Director Jennifer Rushton and President Wayne Webster for this opportunity and their continued support of the program,"  said Hall. "This is a great opportunity for Adam and I to partner and help provide the absolute best experience for our student-athletes, and having an opportunity to help elevate Albion wrestling to new heights is a challenge that I welcome."

Hall wrestled at Olivet, where he was a two-time regional placer and an NWCA Scholar All-American. His expertise will be added to a program that has had 29 Regional Placers, 15 National Qualifiers and 22 Scholar All-Americans since the program's revival in 2020.

"I am excited to welcome Tom to Albion and to add his leadership to our program," said Wilson. "Since the program was reinstated in 2020, we have been committed to building a program filled with individuals of high character, who demonstrate professionalism, are extremely competitive, and take tremendous pride in Albion College. Without question, Tom fits this mold perfectly. I am looking forward to the continued development of our program and partnering with Tom moving forward."

Hall and Wilson will hit the mats with team practices commencing shortly. Both teams will compete in their 2024-25 opener at John Carroll University on Nov. 1.
