William Penn (Iowa) jumps two spots to No. 3, while the Warriors of Indiana Tech also jump two spots this week and now sit at No. 5. Saint Mary (Kan.) and Central Methodist (Mo.) are tied at No. 17 as the regular season gets underway. Avila (Mo.), which climbed into the top 20 after receiving votes in the preseason rating, is tied at No. 20 with Campbellsville (Ky.).
Individually, Providence (Mont.), Life, and William Penn all have two wrestlers ranked No. 1 this week. Texas Wesleyan, Indiana Tech, Dickinson State (N.D.), and Doane (Neb.) all have one wrestler ranked No. 1. All top-ranked wrestlers held their spots from the preseason rating.
