AUSTIN, TX — (September 17, 2026) — The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) and FloSports today announced a partnership that will bring the 2027 NWCA National Convention - the nation's largest annual gathering dedicated to wrestling coaches and leaders - to Austin, Texas for the first time. Visit Austin will serve as the event's destination partner, working alongside FloSports and the NWCA to provide attendees with comprehensive resources in the city throughout the convention weekend. The 2027 NWCA National Convention will take place July 30–August 1, 2027 at the Austin Marriott Downtown, and be presented by Cliff Keen, the Marines, Resilite, and Theraworx Protect.
FloSports, which was founded and is headquartered in Austin, will serve as the official host of the 2027 convention. The company will support the event with special programming and activations at its Austin headquarters, creating additional opportunities for coaches and industry leaders to connect with FloSports executives, media professionals and members of the broader wrestling community.
Hundreds of coaches, administrators and wrestling leaders from across the United States are expected to converge in Austin for three days of professional development, championship meetings, rules sessions, networking and conversations focused on the future of the sport.

Hosting the convention in Austin creates a significant opportunity to strengthen wrestling throughout Texas while making the event more accessible to coaches and programs across the region, reaching programs in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and neighboring states.
FloSports will use the full reach of FloWrestling and its editorial, video, social and digital channels to promote the convention, spotlight its participants and amplify the important conversations taking place throughout the weekend.

Visit Austin and the Austin Sports Commission will help deliver a seamless experience for convention attendees by providing destination expertise, local resources and on-site support. The organization will also help coaches and their families experience Austin's hospitality, culture, entertainment and attractions throughout their stay.
